Happy finally getting outside cuz it's Spring!
Happy celelbration of the renewal of the eternal spirit!
My favorite thing about the stories of Jesus is that he was a man of the people. Kept company with the livers of real life, valued the differences between all the various classes and backgrounds of people and never made any one out to be better then. Taught by walking it how to forgive, how to walk with integrity standing true in your beliefs, how to walk with courage in your truth, how to walk with faith despite the most challenging difficulties. And Jesus was a political radicalist, too. As my own readings of his stories and myths go, I think he was a pretty rad dude. Whenever I need to practice the actions of true compassion, understanding, tolerance, or forgivness I find myself envisioning him, striving for the warmth of those feelings in my heart as I set my intentions for the day.
I got to celebrate with my family~mom, dad, bro and me together just the four of us~for the first time since 2002. Wonderful.
The pictures of us turned out with too much backlight tho. So much for the easy setting on my digital.....
I even got in a fine walk down the beach today, too. I went for reflection, stillness. And ended up mostly all shiny, full of sun and joy....
